Compassionate Psychotherapy

Therapy for people who want to be seen, heard, and understood.

Do you feel your emotions deeply and want to learn how to channel your sensitivity? Are you hard on yourself but get the sense that it’s taking a toll on your emotional or physical health? Are you kinder to others than you are to yourself?

Many people who work with me are navigating something invisible that makes them feel different - whether that is anxiety or depression, a chronic health condition, grief or trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, or parts of your identity that may be unseen.

Christina Sandman, PhD

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with a private practice in Los Angeles. My approach to therapy is empathetic, non-judgmental, curious, and attentive. My goal is to support you in fostering greater understanding and compassion for yourself, which lays the foundation for making the changes you want toward a meaningful life. Sessions focus on helping you meet yourself with curiosity rather than judgment, become more comfortable with discomfort, and move through challenges with greater ease and creativity.
